April 2012: TAIC launch a new Internet shop dedicated to Delphi parts. See it at

2011: TAIC become the only Yanmar fuel official injection workshop serving the UK and NI. This coverage includes the electronic TNV Eco pump. Uploading and flash to ECU can all be carried out in house by our Yanmar trained engineers.

April 2012: Open day a great success.

After the finishing of a major building refit TAIC held a free training and open day to 73 local motor engineers. The training was on common rail injector diagnostic procedures both theory and active sessions on Delphi, Bosch and Siemens systems. This was presented by Graham Williams BST (Bosch Systems Technician) the workshop manager and all of the TAIC workshop engineers. Day two saw Delphi's leading field engineer Richard Sibley join in with the training on Delphi injectors.

Such was the demand for the training that a second day was added.

 

The attendees gained valuable knowledge not only in fault diagnostics but also on what is actually inside the units including strip down, repair and testing using both Bosch and Hartridge benches.

Later in the day presentations were given by Delphi Diesel Systems and Bosch UK which included the Diesel particulate filter (DPF) and systems that will soon be fitted to the passenger vehicle.

 

The open day also gave everyone a chance to see and enquire about the latest diagnostic tools and equipment which were being shown by Delphi and Bosch. Filtration experts were also on hand to demonstrate the need for top class OE standard filters on today's common rail equipped vehicles. Joining the TAIC staff from August 1st 2012 is Kevin O’Sullivan as the new businesses development manager for UK & Eire.

Kevin comes from Delphi diesel systems technical team and has 30 years automotive experience with qualifications in diesel injection and vehicle electronics.

Before joining Delphi; Kevin started his career in 1982 within the Bosch diesel network where he remained for 22 years and became the European technical support engineer for Isuzu power train division in 2004 covering 14 countries supporting the transition and integration of common rail technology.

Bosch Piezo injector testing now available.

With diesel injection systems on a continuous improvement the workshop has to keep up to date with machine investment along side technician training.

To keep pace Thomas Injection Centre have had the Piezo testing capability added to the Bosch 815 common rail test rig

specialist Thomas Auto Injection Centre. The program will be available from participating dealers with the official launch at Hillhead 2014.

Quality has to be paramount. This is guaranteed only with the use of  genuine spares and the only Yanmar approved diesel workshop of Thomas Auto Injection Centre.

To keep up with the demand for service and repair of common rail injectors from Delphi and Siemens a new Hartridge Cri-Pc test bench has recently been installed.
Only this test bench is approved by Delphi & Siemens. The PC based testing includes all of the original manufacture test plans.
This way not only are the serviced injectors repaired using only genuine spares but also will function as the vehicle manufacture designed.
This guarantees you a quality product, correct engine operation, lower fuel use and reduced emissions.

 

Thomas’s were very pleased to have Mr Damian Green MP the Ashford conservative parliament member visit us on Friday 20th February along with Jo James the chief executive of the Ashford chamber of commerce.

 

They spent time being shown around the workshop and distribution warehouse by Directors Richard Thomas and Neil Eldridge.

 

Both were also given a working outline of the new common rail diesel fuel pump and injection systems being tested on three of the test benches and auxiliary equipment.

 

They both discussed many topics about our work with the management, engineers and office employees.

2011: and the latest high powered Bosch EPS815 test bench is installed. This bench is capable of testing all Bosch common rail injectors and pumps. Only Bosch test bench's can correctly test the common rail equipment to OE specifications using Bosch software.

Why the need for a Clean Room?

The introduction of modern high-pressure diesel common rail injection systems working at 1600 bar and above creates the need of reorganizing workshop practices.

Tolerances held in these new systems can reach 1μm. Therefore, perfect cleaning must be guaranteed during disassemble and most importantly during set up and reassemble.

Thus, new basic procedures have to be followed during all the process of removal, installation, repair and breakdown investigations in these diesel injection systems.

To meet the new requirements it is essential to create an exclusive area for assembly of pumps & injectors. The clean room is developed in such a way to assist all work procedures stated by Bosch UK & must be approved on inspection by BOSCH.

With the ever increasing work load at Thomas Auto Injection the need for a larger clean room was required and so we have created a new assembly & set up area meeting all of BOSCH stage three repair system.

TAIC were appointed the UK & Ireland offical Yanmar Industrial fuel pump and injector workshop in 2010.

Since then the sales of Yanmar engine driven vehicle sales has continual to grow.  The need for these diesel pumps & injector to be serviced has also grown with the sales.

 

 

To keep your Yanmar diesel working to its original condition it is vital for the equipment to be serviced by Yanmar trained engineers who also have all the correct test equipment, software and knowledge. We at TAIC have those engineers.
